Brief Description: Hancock County EMCOMM serves and supports the missions of the Hancock County EMA through amateur/emergency radio communications. Hancock EMCOMM meets the second Thursday of each month, 1830, at the Meadow View Apartments, Phase IV dining facility, Ellsworth. All licensed amateur radio operators or those interested in public safety communications are welcome to attend and participate. Brief Description: HEART is the Hancock County Maine Emergency Animal Response Team. We offer pet first aid classes for the public and educational events in preparing for emergencies and the care of pets. We participate in state-wide trainings, meet on a monthly basis, prepare ourselves to be able to set up a pet shelter alongside human shelters in the event of a disaster.

Brief Description: Each year on Peaks Island the community holds an annual Peaks Fest day. The CERT team always participates both with assisting with the daily activities along with a booth of their own. During the day they will conduct fire extinguisher training along with fire safety hand outs and free smoke detectors.

Brief Description: Saco Community Emergency Response Team CERT is a multi purpose team! The team is currently comprised of 25 members who assist the communities First Responder intiatives related to education,mitigation,preparedness,response and recovery these typicaly are related to large scale emergencies and disaster situations. The team is also very active in community outreach and activities.

Brief Description: The Franklin County CERT has 12 members who have completed the on line ICS trainings. Twelve have completed the basic CERT module training, basic first aid and RED CROSS shelter training. There are 2 members who have taken training to respond to behavioral issues in an emergency. There are 4 who also have their Amateur Radio licenses. The team also participated in Public informational activties. The team meets the second Wednesday of each month except July and August.

Brief Description: Lincoln County CART team is a progressive group of ACO's and vetrenarian's who are available during times of crisis, whether it be from natural or man made. This team also provides all animal sheltering for our county.

Brief Description: Midcoast SAR provides services as a Type III Wilderness SAR team in addition to core missions of CERT. The team is based in Knox County but has members from outside the county and has responded to emergencies outside it's home county. All members must attain CERT/CPR/Basic ICS and Maine CONOPS as primary training followed by focused-specialty mission SAR training.

The team meets regularly in Skowhegan, Maine and the meetings are open to anyone wishing to learn more about the team and what they do.

Brief Description: The Knox CART provides emergency sheltering services for household pets and service animals in conjunction with regional Red Cross or Community-based sheltering operations. The team conducts routine exercises at regional shelter facilities quarterly and meets monthly (first Monday of Month) at 5:00pm at the Knox County EMA office or other designated location.
